Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the heavy cleaning operation of all kitchen areas after hours.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in coolers and freezers, and other heavy kitchen equipment.
- Wash tile floors in all food and beverage areas.
- Clean the entire kitchen, including tables, floor mats, disposal, food service carts, and service elevators.
- Sweep and mop floors and loading docks. Keep floors clean and dry; clean up wet spills immediately.
- Empty trash and keep cans clean.
- Perform ware-washing tasks on soiled dishes from the restaurant, banquet, and other outlets, through the use of the dish machine.
- Perform the tasks required for washing pots, pans, and other equipment that must be washed by hand in the pot sinks.
- Assist stewards as needed or required.
- Remove all garbage, boxes, etc. from the main kitchen and purchasing area as necessary.
- Keep management informed of equipment and supply shortages.
- Keep management informed of any malfunction of equipment or safety hazards within the hotel.
- Comply and ensure compliance with all safety standards by following all safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to abide by the company's appearance standards and comply with the designated uniform.
- Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards of the highest caliber.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically challenging position; all applicants must be in physical condition. If there is a physical concern, an employment physical may be required.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Constantly required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- This job will require lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs., and may require occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Occasionally required to push and/or pull 100+ lbs. with assistance.
- The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to talk or hear.
This is a full-time position, and as such, hours and days to work WILL fluctuate up to and including weekends and holidays.
